Description
Before I start: I know there’s been many different versions of the song, Novacane by Frank Ocean, but I felt like rapping over it and telling a story about marijuana. I wasn’t trying to be like artists who recorded over this beat previously, so I decided to make a song where I describe marijuana as an actual living woman (inspired by the late Rick James), with her name being Mary Jane. In the song, you’ll hear references to the hit 90’s film, Friday, as well as one of its main characters, Debo.
