The estate of a man shot and killed by a Cincinnati Police officer one year ago today has filed a lawsuit, claiming wrongful death. David “Bones” Hebert was shot by death by Cincinnati Police Sergeant Andrew Mitchell on April 18, 2011. Sergeant Mitchell has said Hebert had a knife and claimed he was waving it at officers.
