China has the largest prison in the world, the most guards, and the most inmates. Grand total 1.3 Billon guards and inmates with a prohibition on Marijuana. Food for thought.

By strict definition, a narcotic drug is one that induces central nervous system depression, resulting in numbness, lethargy, and sleep. In contemporary use, the term narcotic is applies to any psychoactive compound that is, dangerously addictive.
Cannabis contains a large number of phenolic compounds known as cannabinoids, but the main psychoactive component is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is a narcotic. The THC in marijuana is believed to change a psychoactive compound.

The symptoms and effects become more serious when marijuana is used daily over a long period of time. Long term use of marijuana produces changes in the brain similar to those seen after long term use of other major drugs of abuse, like cocaine and heroin. One of the greatest dangers of marijuana is that people who use it soon look for stronger drugs, and often become addicted to heroin. Greater impairment of attention, memory, and processing in the brain is likely due to an alteration of brain

Am I the only one who finds it hard to believe that an adult has NEVER tried marijuana? Be it in college, on the job or just hanging out in society. That’s like saying one has never tried alcohol or a cigarette. How can one say that they’re enlightened about the ills of society and the world if they’ve never tried something as harmless as weed. Personally, I don’t believe them.

its an outrage that people dont give a shit about. amerikans are taught to believe that anyone going to jail or charged with a crime is automatically guilty. as gary johnson the lib candidate for pres has stated this is costing amazing amounts of money- of course the TRUE criminals are living large off this imprisonment- the top level dealers- the companies that run the prisons and the CIA,FBI and po-lice, and all the lawyers

Marijuana is an illegal narcotic drug and is a green or gray mixture of dried, shredded flowers and leaves from the hemp plant Cannabis sativa. It is also known by its many slang names like pot, weed, Mary Jane, dope and chronic. The main active chemical in marijuana is THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol). The THC causes a series of cellular reactions with protein in certain nerve cells that lead to the high the user experiences. Marijuana is an illegal narcotic drug…cont…

Unfortunately, those in power do not share your way of thinking. Their thought process is: privatize the prisons, then invest their money into the prisons. Now, the more people in prison the more money their investment makes. Soon, waking up in the morning will be illegal and get you 5-8 years.

marijuana is not a gateway drug…that is false. i been smokin weed for a long time and never had the urge to try something “bigger”, “different”. alcohol is the demon as well as ciggerettes………when im in a social gathering and i have a little drink in me i almost always reach for a ciggerette……when im smokin weed i dont even want a ciggerette at all. the only reason weed is ilegal is because its more beneficial to the justice department in regards to revenue

Law enforcement resources should be used to go after individuals who are harming others- not for policing arbitrary pre-crime scenarios.

    Control through supply and demand.
    It’s mathematical, i think.
increase control and demand goes up,
decrease supply and demand goes up, too.
In countries where certain plants have been made un-illegal, demand has dropped.
Prohibition was about stopping farmers from making their own fuel from corn, and buying gasoline instead!
Hemp was demonized for even more reasons of financial gain and control.
So get your breathing license from me now, before they make air illegal.

You can’t get cancer from ingesting cannabis smoke. If that were the case, doctors would NOT be advise chemotherapy patients to ingest it. In fact there are studies tht show that marijuana may actually help prevent cancerous growths.
