I’m running an auto for the first time so got a couple ?s. I’m only 10 days from seed and am running an 18/6 photoperiod. Do autos have to have a light proof dark period like regulars? Also how much topping would you recommend? This seed was a freebie and I’m growing it among my veggies cuz I can’t grow pot anymore but thought I would try this out. The moon shines in my room at night and didn’t know if I needed to block it out. Thank you
when you said 60 days, did you mean from seed or from when you saw the first pistil?

autos are not light sensitive so you don’t have to light proof it at all, although 18 hours of light is the minimum id cut down to throughout thier whole grow. autos under 12/12 don’t yield as well. as for topping i wouldn’t recommend it with autos, they don’t have enough time to recover like photos and your yield will hurt. Moonlight should never be an issue, you gotta think when they grow in nature outside, they are exposed to moonlight for sure and do fine. street lights are another issue
