Colorado Decides, a co-production of Colorado Public Television and CBS 4 presents a debate with the representatives of both sides of Amendment 64. Host Eric Sondermann is joined by CBS4’s Rick Sallinger and they question representatives from both sides of Amendment 64, which would legalize marijuana for adults in Colorado. Participants include Betty Alworth, Advocacy Director for the Campaign to Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol and Happy Haynes, Vice-President of the Denver Public Schools Board.

Legalization would improve societies function positively, boost the economy, help people physically, emotionally, and mentally, and put the freedom into humanity for the use of cannabis, which is highly safe. Cannabis is less harmful than alcohol and tobacco. Cannabis has resulted in a total of 0 deaths in history. Cannabis has also been used for centuries to heal people. I think it’s conscious enough to legalize cannabis since it is safe and beneficial in plenty aspects.
