Description
Defoliation felt wrong at first, but in this clip, I showed why removing the right leaves actually helped the plant grow better indoors.
I walked through how I removed large fan leaves to open up light to lower branches, cleaned up weak growth, and focused energy on the top flower sites.
What’s happening here:
Removing big fan leaves improved light penetration
Lower branches received more light and grew faster
Small, weak growth was removed to focus energy on main buds
Indoor lighting required a flatter, more open canopy
Defoliation was done carefully to avoid stressing the plant
Bonus tip:
Removed leaves were reused as organic matter
Chopped leaves were added back as topdress or compost
Mimicked natural plant cycles by feeding the soil
Helped build healthier, living soil over time
Sometimes less leaf mass = more flowers, especially in controlled indoor environments.
