Episode 05: Light Timer Error, Full Re-Veg Lesson & What’s Next for the 4X4 Side-by-Side

In this episode, I walk you through a major update inside our 4X4 Battle Tents for Season 3. What started as a simple spectrum comparison turned into a hard lesson on lighting controls, timers, and how a small oversight can completely shift the direction of a run.

I break down exactly what happened with the spectrum tuner, how the sunrise and sunset function unintentionally triggered a light interruption during the dark cycle, and why that led to a full re-veg on one side of the tent. If you’re running programmable lighting, this is something you’ll definitely want to understand.

We also take a close look at the healthy GMO plant in contrast to the re-vegged one. I share observations about PPFD intensity, why this particular GMO cut prefers slightly lower light levels, and how “low and slow” stacking can still produce dense, greasy flowers with incredible aroma.

To close it out, I chop the re-vegged plant rather than forcing it through the rest of flower, talk about recycling it into the worm bin, and discuss what’s next, including the possibility of running a fully optimized spectrum schedule in the next side-by-side.
