Episode 18: Blueberry Muffins Harvest, Day 9 Flower & Stretch Progress

In this episode of the BuildASoil 10×10 Series, Season 9 Episode 18, the garden reaches Day 9 of flower as the plants settle into the stretch and begin showing their first signs of flowering after the official flip.

I start with a Week 18 update, checking the progress of the canopy, EarthBoxes, and living soil bed while sharing some great news from the clone tray; all of the backup clones successfully rooted, with some showing roots in just six to seven days.

Next, I tour the garden and compare how the different cultivars are responding during the early flower stretch. I check the BluMat irrigation system, EarthBox moisture, and overall canopy development while looking at how quickly the Blueberry Muffins, Ghost Pepper, Gonzo Grape, Mountain Dew, and GMO Sour Diesel are progressing.

From there, I check watering needs and take a closer look at the Mammoth Lighting setup as the plants continue stretching toward the fixtures. With the garden mostly running on autopilot, I also discuss what I’ll be watching as we move deeper into flower, including PPFD, top dressing, and the increasing demands of the oversized EarthBox plants.

Finally, I harvest the original Blueberry Muffins plant that went through the timer malfunction and reveg. After nine weeks from the original flip, I inspect its fade, ripeness, structure, and strong blueberry aroma before cutting it down and preparing to compare it with the seven Blueberry Muffins currently flowering in the 10×10.

By the end of this episode, you’ll see how the 10×10 is progressing through the first stretch of flower, how the backup clones performed, and how the original Blueberry Muffins finished after recovering from reveg.
