Episode 21: Silver Lotus Harvest Day & Season Finale

In the final episode of Season 3 of the BuildASoil 2×4 Grow Tent Series, we reach Day 88 of flower and harvest the last Silver Lotus after a long 12-and-a-half-week finish.

I start with a look at the final Silver Lotus and compare it with the plant harvested a few weeks earlier. After making it this far into flower, we can see how the plant finished, how its structure developed, and the differences between the two Silver Lotus plants grown throughout this run.

Next, I take a closer look at the massive colas, open flower structure, late-flower fade, and foxtailing on the remaining plant. Despite its long flowering time, this Silver Lotus has been incredibly easy to manage, especially with the BluMat irrigation system keeping watering simple throughout the final weeks.

I also reflect on the different plants from this run, including the Cocoon harvested earlier in the season, and some of the characteristics that matter when deciding which genetics are worth growing again. Yield is only one part of the equation, and this grow gave us a chance to see some very different expressions inside the same 2×4 space.

Finally, I cut down the last Silver Lotus and get it ready for the drying tent, officially bringing Season 3 of the 2×4 Grow Tent Series to a close. With the 2×4 tents taking a break, we’ll be shifting more attention toward the new side-by-side grow and finishing out the current 10×10.
