Excuse me…. ? What is your point exactly. Very clear from the video that that punch was unwarranted. Even if he was resisting , why the punch ?

He got what he deserved. We can all judge the cop but why should he take a chance when the guy was resisting. Ya it was only the guy pulling his arm out but who knows what he could have had stashed in his pockets. Cops don’t have an easy job, if the guy would have co-operated there would have been no issue, simple as that.

The man was being cuffed. His left hand was already cuffed. The officer was attempting to place the mans right wrist in the cuffs when the man pulled his left arm away.

That is resisting the officer. The officer responded by punching him in the face to get control of the situation. It was quick effective and did minimal physical damage.

The man being arrested should count himself lucky they didn’t just take his feet out from under him and plant his face in the road.

Cops have a tough gig: I know a few and they’re good guys…and I’d never want to be one. At the same time, it takes one butt head cop to ruin it for all the good ones. This cop has done just that. He is trained to handle these situations in a much more compelling manner and choses an inappropriate action. To Mr Police Man: say sorry, do your community hours and pay whatever (reasonable) compensation this man is asking…then learn from your mistakes or find a new vocation.

This “friend” filming wasn’t even with the guy and just “happened” to show up, and then start filming? I can just imagine how much was going before any filming took place. Combine that with a guy who you clearly see was starting to resist being handcuffed, the cops need to keep control to keep themselves safe. If you don’t want to co-operate, your next option is force… Personally, taking him down would have been a little less aggressive then a punch the guys mouth.
