As far as medical marijuana has come in various states across America, it still has a very long ways to go. As outlined by the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, Michigan’s Medical Marijuana Act only protects those it grants the ability use marijuana medicinally from criminal charges, not from any action taken by an employer. To explain this recent case and the lessons it holds for employers, we bring in Porter Wright’s Sara Hutchins Jodka, author on the Employer Law Report.
