Description
Kanpur and its nearby areas are experiencing a new trend in farming these days. Facing losses and poor yields, farmers in the area are turning to growing marijuana in their fields. They are replacing their wheat crop with the banned narcotic plant. According to the farmers, the reason is two-fold. On the one hand the marijuana crops are not attacked by any pests, while on the other they don’t need too much water to grow. Also a growing tribe of traffickers in the state and the city are promising
