How to Tell When Your EarthBox Needs Water

Description
Before refilling the reservoir, I used this trick.
I checked the soil when it had good moisture.
Felt it.
Noticed the weight.
Looked at the texture.
That became the baseline.
Later, when it dried down, the difference was easy to recognize.
Important tip for EarthBox watering:
Dry reservoir ≠ emergency.
The living soil still held plenty of moisture.
That’s why we let it dry before refilling.
Even if I noticed it was dry in the afternoon,
I would often wait until the next morning to refill.
Why?
Plants don’t love going to bed with wet feet.
Simple rule for living soil growing:
Let it dry
Observe the soil
Water with intention
